Author’s Note: I’m letting you know of the time different between the tree store and the estates. When the store scene takes place the time is like seven or eight in the morning. When the estates scenes start it is about one o’clock or two o’clock. I know they are lazy people…but who doesn’t enjoy sleeping in with someone you love?

[Random Christmas Tree Store // Oktober City]
Chloe looked at the tree branches and sighed none of them were remotely as good as the trees that were sold in Augusta. Crystal felt her cousins same frustration.”Maybe this was a bad idea after all.’ said Crystal as she came over and took her cousins hand as they both looked at the tree before them. The branches were large but too widely spread out and the color was a beautiful shade of forest green. The girls took another sigh before feeling a hand on each of their shoulders. The two looked up seeing a smiling Julianna standing behind them. ‘Oh, little ones don’t fret. Now, I want you two go pick out whatever tree here you want and I will take it home to fix[i].’ Crystal smiled at Chloe who was beaming. At once they pointed at the tree in front of them.
‘We’ll take it!’ called Julianna to the man who was watching them while sitting inside of the small booth across from them in the center of the store.
[Solaris Estates// Snake's Room]
Naru’s eyes opened at the sound of Snake’s phone ringing[ii]. He lifted his hand and sent the cell phone into the closet. His arms were wrapped around Snake’s waist while she slept. Her skin smelled of honey and lavender. Her breathing was soft as she slept. He had been getting weird vibes from her lately like she was ill especially near her stomach but Snake dismissed it. Like right now the vibe surged through his hands.
“Snake, he is truly beautiful.” Latheal smiled as she looked at her Gemini. Snake smiled at Latheal as the infant in her arms toyed with the silver finger ring on her index finger.
Snake’s eyes shot open as well as her sitting up. The tears almost came until she realized that Naru was there. Naru sat up his arms around her shoulders pulling her close to him. “What’s wrong?” he asked in a worried tone. Snake’s nightmares are usually shared with Latheal alone. Snake bit her lip before she answered. She did not want him to know anything about this dream. She would go see Julianna first.
“It was nothing Naru.” She said as she quickly changed her tone as she slid out of bed. The crimson silk trailing behind her on the floor as she walked to her bathroom. Naru sat on the bed thinking about her and the vibes but his attention was diverted when he heard three little words coming from the bathroom.
“Are you coming?”
[Latheal’s Room]
Latheal groaned as she switched her sides to where her face was a few centimeters from Kiru’s who was still asleep. At least she thought he was until he opened his onyx eyes. He gave her butterfly kiss before reaching over her to pick up the ringing cell phone blaring Starstuck.
“What does she want now?” she asked with an annoyed tone when he finally hung up.
“Crystal squealing for you to come down stairs.” replied Kiru trying to get her chord back into the charge port of the phone but his hands would not allow him to work anything that small at the moment. “Well then come on. I don’t want them calling up here again.”Latheal said as she looked up at him. Kiru smirked as he threw the phone on the floor and leaned down kissing Latheal.
“Wait!” Latheal practically yelled as she raised her hands as flashes of Snake’s dream filled her racing head.
“Is everything alright?” Kiru asked as he sat up looking down at Latheal. Latheal took a moment to breath before answering. “Yes, I’m sorry. Snake was having another nightmare.”
“I’m sorry.” He said with a concerned look. Latheal chuckled “I know you are. Now let’s get dressed.”
[East Wing Drawing Room]
“I wonder why Snake and Latheal had two ballrooms built?[iii]” asked Crystal to Chloe who was hanging the last Christmas ornament on the tree.
“They had two built?” Chloe asked in a rhetorical fashion as she wondered where the second on could be hidden. “Wonder which one is the one we use regularly.”
“You use Latheal’s.” Julianna’s replied standing behind them. Chloe didn’t move but Crystal turned around sheepishly blushing.
“Then where is Snake’s?” Chloe asked finally taking her eyes off the tree.
Latheal walked into the room with her hair down and her bangs clipped back. Her hand was intertwined with Kirus. “You pass Snake’s every day.” When she came to a stop behind the couch in front of the TV Kiru brought his hands around her hips.
Crystal nibbled on her bottom lip before spreading a wide smile, “So, what do you think?” Latheal turned around in circles with Kiru following her. The book shelf covering the entire east wall had garland at the end of every shelf with a decoration. The Christmas tree was in front of the large windows across from the door. On the wall to the right around the plasma screen is garland and mistletoe.
“I see you put Julianna to work.” laughed Latheal looking at the unnaturally large tree. “You did well.”
“I only brought her vision to life.” Julianna smiled before answering the phone that had began to ring beside her on the wall. After answering the phone Julianna smiled and left the room.
“It WAS our vision.” Crystal pouted as Chloe nudged her laughing.
Chloe noted as she took a step from where she was standing still putting decorations on the tree noticing Snake and Naru were not here as she lifted a glass snowflake out of a velvet box.”Where are Snake and Naru?”
“I’m right here; Snake is upstairs getting ready…” Naru said with some room to let Latheal know that something was wrong with Snake. Latheal looked at him and then at Naru but Kiru spoke first before she could even part her lips.
“Why don’t you girls go get ready and I will keep him busy with something.” Kiru offered. The two women thought about the offer before answering. “That would be splendid baby.” Latheal smirked as she turned around kissing Kiru before leaving to see Snake. Kiru and Naru followed Latheal out of the room. The girls left the room as well to get ready for the Millions boys to arrive.
[Chloe's Room]
“So we pass Snake’s ballroom every day?” Crystal questioned herself as she sat on Chloe’s bed while Chloe was fidgeting in her closet. Crystal sighed as she flung herself backwards landing on a mountain of pillows. “So what are you going to wear tonight?” Crystal asked Chloe who was now throwing high heels at the foot of the bed. Crystal pulled her dress over her black stockings where the dress had ridden up.
“This one” Chloe said as she walked out of the closet wearing her white symmetrical dress with diamonds on it.
“Perfect.” Crystal responded fidgeting with the hem of her gray dress while kicking her fuzzy booted covered feet that were hanging off the edge of the bed.
[Kiru's Old Room]
“You still keep your stuff in here?” laughed Naru[iv] as he walked around the room looking at all of Kiru’s knick knacks and such. His eyes went over a painting of Jalah, Rae, and Kiru with a woman who standing behind the sitting Kiru. “If you were trying to paint what Latheal would look like in your world you missed on the cheek bones.” Naru laughed again. Kiru came out with a silver box with an inscription on it.
“That’s not Latheal you moron that’s my mother.” he said as he sat down on the bed Naru stood there puzzled for a moment. “I’m sorry man. I didn’t me…” he began but was interrupted by Kiru.
“It is alright. She does look a lot like Latheal but her true child look-a-like is Jalah. She is now the spitting image of her.” Kiru said as he turned to Naru “So, what do you think?” He asked as he lifted the ring out of the smaller black box that he had taken out of the silver box.
Naru spun around looking at the bed “Nice, man.” Naru said softly as he looked at the ruby in the middle of the black diamond rose on a silver band “She’ll love it.”
“Thanks let me put this up.” He said as he put the ring in his pocket and shut the silver box before getting off the bed. He slid off the bed and took the box into his closet. This weird relationship they had of not knowing much of anything about Kiru especially when it came to family but Kiru knew absolutely everything about him. Naru turned somewhat seeing a doll. Kiru came out of the closet coming to a stop seeing Naru’s face about an inch away from the dolls face. The doll had long black hair and a children’s lolita dress on with black boots. The doll carried a small plushy in the shape of a tooth with fangs and bat wings. In elegant gold writing on the base was the name Fiona. When Naru looked up the dolls eyes who before was looking towards the window was looking straight at him. Naru stayed put staring into the dolls eyes. “Naru what are you doing?” asked Kiru.
“The dolls eyes moved.” Naru responded without thinking.
“You must have read her name.” Kiru stated flatly as he walked over to the doll waving his hand over the dolls face in which the dolls eyes closed.
“Okay, why do you have a doll and why do her eyes move?” Naru asked as he stood up straight and walked away from the doll. The doll had sent chills down his spine.
“Rae gave me the doll when I moved her and she is connected[v] to the larger version in my sisters doll room.” Kiru answered as he went to the closet shutting the door. “I will be back.”
[Snake's room]
Latheal laid on the bed with her arms holding her up and her legs crossed. While she waited for Snake to come out of the bathroom she counted the designer holes in her denim jeans. Finally Snake came out wearing a black top that left about an inch apart all the way down with a silver belt underneath her breasts holding the shirt closed. Her jeans extended over her black pumps. Snake walked over to the vanity lifting the earrings she had chosen for tonight.
“Lovely as usual” Latheal smiled as Snake began putting her hair up in an elegant bun. While she was brushing her hair to put her hair up Latheal came over and took the brush to finish putting her hair up.
“What did Julianna say?” Latheal asked as she rested her hands on Snake’s shoulders.
Snake rolled her eyes to the left “Merry Christmas, you’re going to be an aunt.[vi]” Snake said as she finished Latheal squealed and hugged Snake.
[The East Wing Ballroom]
“Chloe just put the dang ornament on the tree and come on the Antonio and Miguel will be here any minute.” Crystal badgered Chloe as she stood at the window watching the guests come up the long drive way. Chloe stood before the Christmas tree with a silver ornament in the shape of a crescent moon with a perfectly crafted Gemini symbol attached to the end of the crescent[vii]. She bit her bottom lip as she raised the ornament to the tree.
“It will look lovely there.” said a soft voice behind her. Chloe set the ornament on the tree. “I don’t like it there, Naru.” Chloe said as she reached to take it but Naru’s moved faster taking the ornament off the tree. The string that held ornament turned into white lace as the ornament shrank to the size of a quarter. Chloe smiled as she turned hugging Naru. “Thank you!” she said as Naru hugged her back. “You’re welcome my dear.[viii]“
Kiru stood in the doorway looking at the Christmas tree. “Have you never seen one?” Crystal asked she had walked from the window to where he was standing. “My sister does not decorate this way at home and we do not celebrate this event like this.”
“Well there is a first time for everything!” Crystal began but was interrupted by Julianna walking into the room with Antonio and Miguel behind her[ix]. Both girls went over to the boys to welcoming them into the room. Miguel and Chloe went over to the couch to sit down. Miguel sat down first before Chloe sat down laying her legs across his lap. Miguel smiled as Chloe whispered something in his ear.
“Oh please don’t start that Chloe.” Crystal started as she took her dvd from Antonio and walked over to the TV to get the movie ready. Antonio sat down on the love seat beside Chloe and Miguel’s.
“The family did well with the girls.” Kiru smiled as he walked over to Naru who was looking at the Christmas tree.
“Snake and Latheal wanted a different life for them. They wanted them to have a life that was theirs and not something predestined by blood.” Naru said with a smile as he put his hands in his pockets and turned from the tree to see Snake and Latheal walking into the room laughing. Snake looked up to match Naru’s gaze. His goofy grin grew as he walked over to them taking Snake’s hand.
“Well, thank you Latheal but I will be taking it from here.” Naru joked as he led to Snake to the couch. Latheal took Kiru’s hand as they walked to the loveseat that was connected to the couch. Latheal moved back in the loveseat before tangling her legs with Kiru’s. “What are we watching again?”
“Eternal Reverie” Crystal smiled as she placed the dvd in the dvd player and walked over to the spot on the floor Antonio was sitting at and curled up in his lap with the remote in her hand. Snake wrinkled her nose for a moment before realizing which movie the girls had picked out.
“The movie about the vampire ice goddess[x]?” Snake questioned with a brow raised as to why girls had chosen this movie.
“Oh please can we still watch it Snake?” Chloe asked as she leaned over to look at Snake who sitting beside Naru with his hands on the leg Snake wrapped around his legs. Kiru muttered something inaudible before Latheal slapped him on the shoulder giving him a stern look. Snake rolled her eyes “Go ahead.”
Crystal smiled and pushed play on the menu. For a few moments the room was dark except for the glow of Christmas tree before the ascending sound of a violin composition came out of the speakers. Then white droplets of snow began to cross the screen as a pair of blurry unfocused sapphire eyes filled the screen. Following the eyes was the dialogue which made Kiru gave another snide remark. This time Latheal looked over at him taking his chin in her hand and turning his head to face her. Her ice blue eyes focused on his giving off the shut up before we go have a chat look. Kiru smiled leaning over giving her soft kiss before returning to the movie. During the course of the movie Snake had pushed herself from Naru and was laying on her back on the other end of the couch. Naru had lost interest in the movie the moment he got another set of the vibrations from Snake’s stomach. Snake had not seemed any different since he felt the vibrations but he sure did. He was getting so tired and knowing about the races the movie was referring to the movie did not even attract him back to the movie in the slightest. However, he thought this the perfect opportunity to lay down beside of Snake. Naru scooted up then laid down beside and partially on Snake. Snake smiled as he rested his head on her stomach. She brought her hand down that had been resting behind her head and ran it slowly through his hair. A few minutes later Naru was asleep due to the vibrations and Snake’s soothing head rub[xi]. When the movie was over Kiru and Latheal were giggling as they looked over to see Naru asleep. Chloe and Miguel were already out of their love seat and heading for punch bowl near the tree. Antonio and Crystal were discussing the movie. Snake laughed as she gently lifted Naru’s head.
“Baby, the movies over time to get up” Snake said as she tried moving him. Naru woke up groggily sitting up letting her get out from underneath him.
“The movie was not that bad, Naru, come on man.” Latheal said as Kiru let her get up first. Latheal walked over to Naru taking both his hands in hers pulling him up. “Come on, why don’t we get you the real drink for Christmas.” Naru seemed to perk up a little bit when she mentioned the vodka cabinet.
“Sounds splendid”
“I have a feeling you’re going to need it.” Latheal thought as she looked at the mirror above the cabinet seeing Snake get up. When Snake got up she felt that her balance was a little off but her balance was not so off that she couldn’t walk. She smiled at Kiru as he stood up as she almost walked past him. Her left knee gave and she collided with Kiru. Kiru caught her with a hand on her waist and a hand around the back catching her right shoulder. He felt surge of energy as he laughed this happening.
“Maybe you should not wear those heels given their height.” He suggested as Snake stood up straight.
“Thanks for the suggestion but the heel is fine.” Snake smiled as she walked over to Latheal and Naru. Kiru followed her over taking Latheal’s glass with a smile as he drank the whole thing.
“That movie was really long…” Chloe said shyly as she scratched her neck lightly not leaving a red mark “…why don’t we open presents now?”
“Sounds good to me” Miguel said as he followed Chloe, Crystal, and Miguel over to the tree. Latheal, Kiru, and Naru came over with wine glasses filled with vodka as Snake had some of the punch in a bourbon glass. Crystal brought Snake her gift first but Snake held her hand up before Crystal could get all the way over to her. “I will wait till last.” Miguel reached under the tree handing Chloe her gift. She gently unwrapped the present to find a small long thick white box. When the opened the box and pulled the white silk away there lay a blow glass blue rose. Chloe squealed as she wrapped her arms around him. Crystal gave Antonio his gift and as she did so she closed her hands over top of his “Open this when you get home okay?” Crystal said before Antonio kissed her on the cheek. Latheal reached down inbetween the four exchanging their gifts and gave Kiru his gift. He ripped the black and silver wrapping paper off seeing a large leather box. He walked over to the table that had the wine on it and lift the lid. The next layer was a sheet of onyx silk. He looked over at Latheal seeing the uneasiness in her face at to what his reaction would be. He gently lifted the sheet seeing the porcelain cut mask began to be revealed. His heart stopped seeing all the designs and colors that that was put into the mask.
“I didn’t know if it was right but Rae said that these mean something where you came from.” Latheal said with even less confidence as Kiru stood there looking at the mask. He smiled pulling Latheal over to him kissing her softly. “This is a beautiful gift even if you do not know the meaning.”Kiru said softly after they broke the kiss. Latheal bit her lip as they rested their foreheads together. Then Latheal moved away from Kiru looking down at her stomach seeing Kiru’s hand there[xii].
“Uh, Kiru what are you doing?” Latheal asked with a little anger in her tone. Phew! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!” Kiru thought before smiling sheepishly. He dug the small velvet bound box out of his pants pocket. “This is for you.” Latheal looked at him for a moment before opening the box. She took the ring out of the box putting the ring on her ring finger.
“It’s beautiful Kiru.” Latheal said as she looked over the ring.
Naru walked over to Snake who was sitting on the arm of the couch sipping the punch. She had been watching the girls opening their presents with the boys. “Well everyone has their gift.” He said as he set her present beside her on the couch. Snake looked over at Naru shaking her head as Chloe and Crystal whispered something to each other. Naru leaned against Snake and she wrapped her arms around Naru. “I think you should hear your gift first.” She said as she leaned up to Naru’s ear.
“I’m pregnant” Snake whispered as the girls shouted Merry Christmas at midnight.

[iii] Yes, there are two ballrooms in Main house. The first ballroom is in the same corridor as the east drawing room. Latheal’s ballroom is obviously on the first floor and the door to Snake’s is at the top of the staircase hidden very well behind a metal design of a snake and a phoenix.
[iv] Kiru moved into Latheal’s room…basically because she liked hers better.
[v] Rae well her dolls are part doll part human/other species and are able to deliver messages to and from the large & Small version.
[vi] Snake and Latheal never acknowledged that they were actually cousins not sisters. So, Snake would call Latheal aunt to her child which is axel from HC.
[vii] The ornament was the only thing that Snake and Latheal actually kept from their mothers. The ornament is an exact replica of the tattoo that Snake has on her right shoulder blade, Latheal on the front side of her shoulder, Crystal on her ankle, and Chloe on the back of her neck.
[viii] Naru only has the gift of borrowing powers and the simple powers of one of his lineage. During this event Kiru was the one actually manipulating objects.
[ix] Kiru is referring to the fact that they do not celebrate Christmas. They celebrate what is called the Nights in Ice.
[x] A new almost five hour long movie about the a goddess with the gifts of controlling ice with a vampire lust blood after she is released from her tomb and brought back to life for the means to steal children in a wintery tale set in Mai but was made to be shot like in Japan.
[xi] If it has not been gathered by now, the baby has the same gift as Naru and is draining him. Snake’s energy is unlimited due to being a hybrid and also linked to the ever so healthy Latheal.
[xii] As good as this thought was Latheal and Snake may be linked but that doesn’t mean their pregnant together at the same time.
She finally was able to read my story. daddy should be home tomorrow. I have to work a different shift tomorrow so we will be opening presents Christmas morning but that is alright just as long as he is home. I thought I was supposed to spend half the day with rebecca helping her but she never called me back. I didn’t want to impose and go over like I did with Polly. hopefully I will be at this job for a log time. well I am going to log out.
